Non-FT version

Post by BattleCattle on Fri Feb 05, 2010 6:37 pm

There was talk a while ago about the changes to the simplestrat profile also coming out in a non-ft variable dependent version I believe. I was wondering if that was still planned or if it will only be offered the way it is?

Well the only thing I think really needs adjusting to have it work really well at UB is just to add blindsize to the short stack stuff. It works well there already, but it often gets in trouble due to the blinds going up much faster there since it skips over some of the middle levels and goes up by 50s/100s in the middle where ft still increases by 20s. I think the thing that needs to be changed for it to work really well is mostly with the short stack strategy part as just saying "when stacksize < #" causes problems since blinds typically are at least in the 300-500 range around the bubble and itm. When I do play there I run into a few too many occasions where it gets in trouble with a 2-3k+ stack pushing with Q2 off because the profile reeds it as having a short stack.
