Question About Profile Play

Post by aircowboy on Sat Dec 19, 2009 9:28 am

This is my first post/question
Using SimpleStrat profile in a SNG tournament called all-in with 7h 3d
This can't be right.

A few hands later all-in with 8d Ts, I know I was short stacked, but 8d Ts

Other than this I've had great luck with the SimpleStrat profile.

Shanky Technologies Holdem Version 4.6.4: Hand: 7h 3d

casino = RS, game = No Limit Tournament, BB = 100.00, Pot = 2 BBs, Stack = 1972.00, TI = 0 BBs
In Big Blind
Matching user defined condition at line 644, Action = call force

Shanky Technologies Holdem Version 4.6.4: Hand: 8d Ts
Players = 7 have T8

looks to me like the bot had an error reading the table as when u called the all in, the bot didn't recore any bet or raise.

raises = 0, checks = 0, calls = 1, bets = 0

In Big Blind
Matching user defined condition at line 644, Action = call force
clicking Call

Read error. The bot thought it was checking in the big blind. I'm not sure what casino RS is, but I'm going to assume cake? Due to the fact that I know there is a bug that a lot of people get when someone raises all-in preflop it does not register it as a raise.

BB = 150.00, Pot = 3 BBs, Stack = 247.00

In Big Blind

That's why all-in with T8. In that situation any hand pretty much has to move all-in.

Your right it was It was Cake. Sounds like it's a bot problem.
I guess I should post this on Egor's site.

ok these plays i sometimes don't really undertstand...
AQ off suit 3-handed in smallblind with short stack bigblind, blinds are 100/200.
button folds and i have AQ off suit in sb with the button having another 400, why didn't i raise...??
the folding line was 283.

another situation with being in small blind with AQ off suit is line 286.
no one else in the pot and im not sure but either 3 or 4 players total in game.

so these are both heads up blinds situation being in small blind.

just two of the times i've caught it happen while watching it play.

Maxspider,

good catch but Webber needs the bot log file and please post it if it happens. We appreciate your assistance on this and hope to continue to improve this profile post by post!

aw crap, need the bot log Shocked
i deleted it, but ill definitely keep looking at new ones that are coming up cuz im pretty sure it is due to some of these plays that makes me lose money...
i've even seen it fold aq when no one has raised the pot yet... i think like 6 or 7 handed and im second to act so there's 2 more behind me and then button and blinds. just doesn't help when there are so many good cards folded since there are only 9 players, we're not always gonna get paid for the aces and kings we pick up because we play so so tight and some players will notice it since our stack is dwindling round by round. so the raising for some of these pots are necessary in order to pick up chips. if we're not gonna play aq, then we're only down to ak and pockets silent
i'm pretty surprised no one has picked this up or has bothered posting on the forum here... there are many plays that i find quite annoying but ill keep posting once i actually get the logs to the specific plays i have a problem with.

to everyone on this forum who's using this profile, please help chip in your two cents about plays made because if the people that are using the profile won't spend the time to point things out for webber to make it better, then no one will and it'll end up being an unsuccessful profile that everyone just EXPECTS to be good since we paid good $$ for it.

the area of the code you are referring to is the "avoiding the bubble" section and is for when there is 2 or 3 opponents. the code is tight in this spot and very solid in current form. specifically when there is 1 or more smaller stacks than yours. you need to be careful what you push with cause the shorty's range is going to be fairly wide. i'd be surprised if the play was -EV.
